The Korean and Vietnam War Memorial was dedicated in May of 1988 and is a black granite memorial surrounded by red sidewalks. The sidewalks list the names of Central Illinois residents killed or missing in action in the Korean and Vietnam battles.

A globe of the world symbolizing the conflict that involved more than 200 nations. More than 70 stainless steel buttons on the globe signify the major battles and events of World War II. Two black granite walls extend out from the globe approximately 100 feet and are engraved with the major battles and events of World War II.
